Arapahoe Acres, a personal favorite. - SOLD

This has always been one of my favorite homes in Arapahoe Acres. It's tucked into a nice corner lot, has a sizable backyard, and has some of the best lines in the neighborhood.
3060 S. Cornell Circle Listed by Rebekah Brock of Prestige Real Estate Group, LLC. You can reach here at 303-831-1160 for more information. Here's the description she sent me.

A+ 50’s contemporary! 1542’ 3 bed/2 bath/rare 2-car home w/ period mahogany, cork floors, skylights, tons of light, updated kit & baths, stainless steel appliances, sprinklers, halogen lighting. Beautiful treed lot & landscaping.

True contemporary style by Edward B. Hawkens, architect. Beautiful large lot w/ plush landscaping, brick walks, fountain, & shaded grassy area offers plenty of privacy and entertaining opportunities. Beautiful 50’s period home with low sloping roofline offers vaulted ceilings inside w/ large double paned windows – giving the inside a feeling of being outside. Newer cork floors, laid in Rittenhouse fashion, run through-out the home. Stone tile flooring is offered in the updated bathrooms. Mahogany kitchen cabinets, tile backsplash and stainless steel appliances offer a modern look to the period kitchen, which is open to the eating area and fire-placed living room. A skylighted office/studio looks out into the lush courtyard and into the home. Natural light filters into and through the rooms.

The homes in the area are from a Usonian style of architecture which is based on Frank Lloyd Wright's concept of Naturalism. Each home is seen as having a "natural" solution derived from its function and site. Naturalism is, in this sense, closely associated with functionalism. The influence of traditional Japanese architecture is also seen in the Usonian style. They share open floor plans, flowing interiors, an abundance of natural light, overhanging eaves and shallow pitch roofs. All of which are evident in 3060 S. Cornell.
